Navi Mumbai, October 7: The ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026’ is placing a strong emphasis on public participation, with extensive awareness and publicity campaigns being conducted to spread the message of cleanliness among as many citizens as possible. As part of the campaign, several initiatives are being undertaken across Navi Mumbai.

Under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde, the Health Department of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has launched a Special Fogging Drive under the National Vector-Borne Disease Control Programme to control mosquito infestation and prevent the spread of mosquito-borne diseases.

Regular anti-larval spraying and chemical fogging operations are already being carried out across the NMMC jurisdiction according to a weekly schedule. The schedule has been planned by taking into consideration the entire jurisdiction of each Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), ensuring that spraying and fogging are carried out at least once a week in every area.

As part of the special drive, chemical fogging is being conducted across Navi Mumbai from October 7 to October 13, 2026. During the campaign, the entire jurisdiction of one Urban Primary Health Centre will be covered by chemical fogging on a single day.

For effective implementation, the areas have been divided into six groups, with four to five Urban Primary Health Centres included in each group. Chemical fogging will be carried out throughout the jurisdiction of all the health centres included in the respective group.
